Environmental Science goes wild
The environmental science classes went outside this week for some hypothesis testing and data collection. We tried to predict how different parts of the CMIT South campus varied in permeability. Permeability has a big impact on the amount of stormwater runoff a piece of land generates. Here are a few pictures of the scientists at work!

Princeton University Experience for Current 10th and 11th grade Students
The High School Diplomats program is a ten-day program, from July 24th- August 4th, 2019 at Princeton University providing 40 American students the opportunity to engage in academic and social pursuits, and forge lifelong friendships with 40 Japanese students of the same age. The program is sponsored each summer by AIG General Insurance Co., Ltd., along with the Freeman Foundation. During the program each American student is paired with a Japanese roommate. Students from Japan and America spend ten days living and socializing with each other on Princeton's historic campus. The program exposes students to both cultures through daily themes and academic and social activities. The themes provide the roommate pairs with opportunities to communicate, learn, and simply enjoy each other's company. The themes vary widely so that each student pair can find common ground and build their friendship. Some examples of these activities include discussions and presentations, a Japanese summer festival, a sports tournament, and a karaoke night. Students are divided into two smaller groups at Princeton with dedicated staff to build a more intimate atmosphere. If you are interested in this opportunity, please visit http://www.highschooldiplomats.com/america/ Applications are being accepted now through January 9, 2019. Application information can be found at http://www.highschooldiplomats.com/america/
