CA News/Updates
Music Hey Tiger Families! I'm so excited to announce our spring concert dates: STEM Connections K-2nd Concert: Thursday May 21st 6:00pm STEM Connections 3rd-5th Concert: Thursday May 28th 6:00pm I will send out a volunteer Google Form this week, as well as a conflict form for those families that know their students will not be able to attend. There is a daytime concert/dress rehearsal for both age groups at 8:45am the day of their concerts. There is a lot of instrument playing, solos, and special opportunities in these shows, but I need to make sure that I give them to students that are able to attend the concert! I'd love to have ALL students and their families attend their STEM Connections concert - you don't want to miss these. Here is the link to Ms. Bautch's Teacher Funder Account: https://teacherfunder.com/abautch/ Please consider donating recyclables to the music room for our instrument creations. Large (2lb or more) snack containers, coffee cans or other large cans, and glass bottles. These will help in creating our instruments for the concert! Tech Greetings Parents/Guardians, 2-5 practiced: Internet Usage: Online Information Basics In this engaging and interactive digital lesson, the learners receive direct instruction and practice browsing the Internet as they examine the difference between a web page and website, browse by following a series of hyperlinks, and learn to differentiate the Internet from the World Wide Web. https://login.learning.com/ K-1 practiced: Keyboarding Locate and Type Letters F, G, H, I, and J During this engaging and interactive digital lesson, the learners receive direct instruction and practice in keyboarding the letters F, G, H, I, and J as they locate and type the letters, recognize the letter sounds, and learn the relationship between the letters on the keyboard and on the screen Physical Education The heart heroes gifts that students will receive should arrive in a few weeks. When I get the order, I will be giving them to students asap. So be on the look out for those. Students in grade 3-5 are completing their homework on google classroom and we have run into some issue when submitting the google forms back to me. Please check or have students check that when completing the forms that their CMIT email is the email being used before clicking submit. If they do not use the CMIT email then I wont see their work. All students are working on dribbling with their hands in class and if possible try to get them to practice at home as I don't see them enough each week for them to practice in class. They need to use their finger pads/prints to dribble, using one hand, while pushing the ball down using flexion and extension of both their wrist and elbow. Thank you
