BLACK HISTOY MONTH KICK OFF!
Hello STEAMazing Superstars! CLF Black History Month is here! This year, we were astonished by the tremendous increase in participation! CLF received over 350+ posters and 45 essays on January 25th! With so many unique submissions, we need your help! CLF invites all its staff, parents, teachers and seniors to participate in the poster evaluation process! Come to the CLF central office, grab some tea or coffee and check out the colorful projects on display. We are also encouraging visitors to take photos of their favorite projects and post them on social media. Don’t wait to evaluate, our staff will cycle through projects on display to keep the exhibit fresh and fun! CLF will also select posters throughout February to highlight on Twitter. Visit @CLF_CLF or @CLF_PR to check out posters in the social spotlight or tag us on your favorite posters! Let's celebrate the "A" in STEAM together! A special thanks to all the parents, students and teachers that contributed to this year’s Black History Month! I know there is strength in the differences between us. I know there is comfort, where we overlap Ani DiFranco

Bus Contracts for 2019-20 Are Now Available!!
Hello Parents and Guardians, The bus contracts for next year are now available! I have attached the contract to this blurb. Please note the following: The contract must include a deposit of $150.00. It cannot be paid via PayPal, unfortunately. It must be paid with a check, money order, or exact cash at the time of submitting the contract. If you submit a bus contract and have a balance for this year, please note that it must be current. Your bus contract will not be accepted if you owe more than one payment for this year. In this year's contract, we are asking for your home address. CSP is working with Lonergan's Charter Service to optimize the bus routes and stops. Group stops are no longer being proposed. If you would like your address to be considered during this evaluation period, you must submit your contract and deposit by February 22nd. If you would like to utilize transportation at all, please submit your contract and deposit by February 25th. The routes and stops will be announced on February 28th. We hope to make transportation better every year and your input is important. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is cbogden@mycsp.org.

Re-enrollment Forms - Deadline is March 1
All students in grades 6-11 received re-enrollment information with their report cards on Friday, February 8. Students must return re-enrollment forms by Friday, March 1. We ask parents to return the re-enrollment form even their child(ren) will not be returning for the 2019-2020 school year. There is so much planning that goes into scheduling and having a clear understanding of which students are returning and which are not is extremely helpful. We appreciate your cooperation dearly. If you need another copy of the information that was sent home, I have attached it here and it is located on the website.

BoxTops for Education
Box Tops are real money for America’s schools! This year CSP will be participating in the Box Tops for Education™ program. Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school buy what it needs. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our school. · When people throw away their unclipped Box Tops, it’s like they are throwing away money. · When families and schools work together to collect Box Tops and send them in, the money adds up fast! For more information on Box Tops, including a list of participating products, go to www.BTFE.com. Be sure to sign up as a member (it’s free!) so you can check out our school’s earnings details and get access to coupons, recipes, bonus offers and extra ways four our school to earn. Send your clipped Box Tops in with your student. Collections boxes are in the lobby and Media Center. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the PTSO. We’re here to help make our school’s fundraiser programs a huge success this year. Thanks for your help!

Repeat-Free School
CSP continues to provide a rigorous and quality education to all students. It has always been our goal to improve upon past practices, find new ways to engage students and make learning something students enjoy. We also believe that high school students need to put forth that same effort in order to be become successful adults; therefore, CSP is Repeat Free. If a student receives an E in a required high school course, the class will have to be repeated in an alternate program such as summer school, evening school and twilight school. These programs are available for students to make up credits in courses that they were not successful in the first time; classes at CSP are for students taking them for original credit. If a student does not make up the failed class in one of these alternative programs, there is a chance that we will not be able to schedule the student for the classes required for graduation and the student will have to take classes at CSP for more than four years.
