Volleyball Spring Workouts
|
Volleyball spring workouts are held on MONDAYS and THURSDAYS from 3:00-4:30pm. Open gyms are open to current high schoolers and 8th graders interested in playing girls volleyball next year.
Students must change immediately after school and report directly to the gym. Students must be picked up on time...after the second late pick up, students will no longer be allowed to stay for workouts.
The Open Gym Permission Slip attached below must be completed and turned in to Coach Sears in order to participate. Athletes will need to wear workout clothes and gym shoes, and be prepared for not only volleyball, but also conditioning and weight training. Masks must be worn during workouts.
Looking ahead....
Volleyball season begins in early August, before the school year starts. If you hope to tryout and be on the HS team, please plan accordingly to ensure you are in town once the season starts. More information will come as we get closer to the end of the year, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up now.
I look forward to seeing you all at workouts!

Dear parents
Rising 9th-grade students at CMIT-South are invited to participate in Information Technology Early College Program, which is more commonly known as ITEC. ITEC is a four-year dual enrollment program that provides students a strong course of study in information technology and exposure to a range of additional academic and career opportunities. Coursework is rigorous and requires a certain amount of sacrifice. However, the rewards for dedicated students are great, including weighted GPAs and the awarding of an associate degree upon high school graduation.Early/Middle College Programs.

Essay Writing Contest!
|
Hi Scholars!
Here's a message from the American Literacy Corporation:
Since January 2021, the American Literacy Corporation has been hosting the You Write Essay Contest monthly to engage young people in creative, persuasive, and informational writing. We are grateful for the support we’ve received in the last year! The contest continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Though headquartered in Pennsylvania, we are receiving essays from as far away as California.
We are so excited for April's prompt! The theme for April is, “If you were elected President of the United States, name three things you would do."
The essay contest is a great opportunity for your students to enhance their writing skills and even win a prize! Attached is the flier, which contains additional information regarding the contest. The essays are due April 30th by 5 p. m. Also, the essays should include the title, name, and grade of the participant.
If you have any questions, feel free to respond to this email or call (717) 580-5429.
