March Door Decorating!
Hello all! The CMIT-South Class of 2022 (9th Grade) SGA has organized a door decorating competition. Each high school section, and some clubs, have been assigned a door to decorate in March. The goal is to decorate the door to match a college (most likely the teacher's college) and then have a tournament of the best doors. Door decorating can take place before school, after school, or during lunch periods at the teacher's convenience. Decorations cannot be offensive, cannot prevent opening or closing of the door, and cannot block the windows. Doors must be decorated by Friday March 23rd (changed from the 15th). Doors not decorated will automatically eliminate their teacher and section from the tournament. The best door through the tournament will earn a dress down for those who helped decorate the door and pizza! Please see Mr. Wassam or any member of the 9th grade SGA if you have questions!

DANGEROUS APP: MOMO CHALLENGE - PLEASE READ
Dear Parents and Guardians, Prince George’s County Public Schools is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. To this end, we want to make you aware of a potentially dangerous internet trend targeting young children called the “Momo challenge.” When using Whatsapp and YouTube and some other online resources, a scary avatar named Momo interrupts videos and challenges children to complete a series of bizarre and potentially dangerous tasks and upload evidence they were completed. On the final day of the challenge, children are encouraged to win the game by committing suicide. Children are threatened throughout the challenge with harm or sharing their personal information online if they do not complete the tasks. We are partnering with families to raise awareness of this online threat. Please discuss the challenge with your child and use online safety practices that include not accepting invitations from strangers or taking part in anonymous challenges. We encourage you to allow electronic device usage in shared family spaces. Please monitor your child’s social media accounts and online activities, and install parental controls and filters. Please see the attachment for additional information regarding this App. Thank you for your continued support of CMIT SOUTH MS/HS
