Cyber Safety Assembly
|
CMIT South held its annual Cyber Safety orientation on Thursday. Ms. Michelle Y. Daney from Inspired Designs, LLC presented cybersafety tips to all students.
Students were informed about appropriate use of internet, social media, apps, and more. Some of the suggestions included the following:
- Keeping passwords personal and not sharing them with anyone else, - Making passwords complicated by including numbers, letters, and symbols, - Not sharing personal devices with anyone else other than immediate family members, - Not sharing personal information on websites, apps, and social media, - Using appropriate language in emails, chats, and social media - Remembering that anything goes on the cyber environment stays in cyber environment; we are all leaving digital footprints by using internet everyday.
Parents are strongly suggested to monitor students' cmitsouth.org email accounts.
