Attached is the most current Student Rights & Responsibilities Handbook. Please read and review the contents with your child(ren). As new information and updates to the handbook become available, I will share them with you. Parents are expected to read and sign the final page entitled Code of Conduct Memorandum of Understanding and return it to school by Friday, September 7, 2018.

Student attendance has a major impact on student achievement. Students cannot access learning if they are not at school. Prince George's County Public Schools has updated their attendance policy. Parents/guardians must notify the school when their child is absent in the form of a written note (email is acceptable). Please use the secretary@cmitsouthes.org email address and copy your child's teacher(s). Upon returning to school from an absence, the student is required to present a written note from his/her parent/guardian stating the dates and reason for the absence. Please see attachment to learn more about building a habit of good attendance early.

Prince George's County Public Schools provides a Family Access Portal that allows authorized caretakers to log into SchoolMAX from any computer with an Internet connection and view the child's student information, including current attendance records and assignment scores.
