BREAKING NEWS
The YEARBOOK is NEAR
Order forms for this year's Yearbook were sent home on Friday, April 8th during last period. There are two ways to order your keepsake:
1. Paper orders are filled out on the order form and turned into CSP's front desk by April 29th. Please be aware that if you are writing a check, you MUST make the check payable to LIFETOUCH NOT Chesapeake Science Point.

2. Online orders can be placed at YBPAY.LIFETOUCH.COM with a slightly longer submission date of May 1st. Ordering online is an easy and convenient process. There is an 8-digit ID code at the bottom of the order form that you must use to order online.

Orders MUST be made prior to or on the due date. Orders can not and will not be accepted past the deadline. Order early to assure availability.

The total price for the hard cover book is $40.00. This is a typical price for a hard covered yearbook if not one of the lowest. Some schools charge between $80-$100 per book. Thank your Yearbook staff for keeping the cost to a minimum for you this year.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Yearbook or purchase of the Yearbook, feel free to reach out to Mrs. McCallister, Yearbook Advisor, at dmccallister@mycsp.org

The Yearbook Staff and its Senior Editors: Nayiri Shahnazarian, Sydney Tramontano, and Noor Elgharbawi are working hard to bring you a quality product that you will continue to cherish for years to come.

2016 Philadelphia Itinerary and Deposits
I have had a great response to the Interest Letter that went out earlier this month for the upcoming 8th and 10th grade trip to Philadelphia in October 2016.

At this time, we are currently looking for students who are interested in this trip to send in a $50 deposit along with the provided slip to help reserve our bus, hotel, and walking tours. This deposit will come off of your grand total. Due to deposit requirements imposed by the above activities, all deposits and future payments are non-refundable once the minimum number of 40 has been met.

Please submit this form and your deposit by Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Please be aware that space is limited to 80 students from both the upcoming 8th and 10th grade, so please submit your deposit early to secure your space. If less than 40 students have turned in a deposit by April 27th, the trip may be cancelled and all deposits will be returned.

Attached you will find a copy of the permission/deposit slip as well as a proposed itinerary.

SCHOOL NEWS
Attention Seniors
We are in the process of finalizing the Yearbook for this year. Once it is sent to print, there is no way to make changes. Several seniors are still missing either a senior portrait, baby picture, or information sheet. The information sheet contains your biographical information that is part of your senior portrait. If you do not turn in the sheet or baby picture by Monday, the space next to your portrait will remain blank. This deadline has been extended several times. Don't let Monday come and go without having all of your information in. Remember, this is YOUR Yearbook- it is what you make it.

CALLING ALL SINGERS
It is unbelievable that we are already planning for this year's Graduation. One of the most important parts of the Graduation Ceremony is the singing of the National Anthem. This year, in an attempt to incorporate music into our students' academic program, we will hold auditions for anyone interested in singing on stage for the 2016 Graduation. The auditions are open to ALL students (except seniors) in ALL grades including middle school.

The auditions will take place during the school day on April 20th Interested students will perform the song in front of CSP's Leadership team who will score the applicants and select the "winner". The "winner" will sing the National Anthem at the beginning of the Graduation Ceremony and will receive recognition in the Graduation program.

(Please note that school will be closed for all students except for seniors on Tuesday, May 31st- the person selected to sing will need to report to school on his/her day off)

This is a huge obligation and honor. You will be singing on stage in front of a few hundred people. You must be ready and able to accept this challenge with poise.

If you are interested in auditioning to sing the National Anthem at the 2016 Graduation, please see Mrs. McCallister for an application and make an appointment for April 20th

Additionally, if you can fluently sign The National Anthem and are interested in providing this service at the ceremony, please see Mrs. McCallister before April 20th.

Dress Down
We have a lot going on at CSP from now until the end of the year. With that said, many students will be part of helping out or attending these events which makes them eligible for Dress Down passess. Please remember that Dress Down passes can ONLY be used on WEDNESDAYS. Students who come dressed down on a day other than Wednesday will be required to obtain a uniform to wear the rest of the day and may also be subject to further disciplinary action. Please don't let this positive movement become something for which you receive a consequence. Dress Down= Wednesdays!

(This is not the same and high school or middle school Friday Dress Down- Wednesday Dress Down is only for students who EARN a pass for going above and beyond)

Thank you
