UPCOMING EVENTS
Picture Day - September 30 (Staff and Grade 6-11)
Parents/guardians, Picture Day for grades 6-11 is next week! Students received order forms for those of you that wish to purchase packages. If your child lost it, ask them to stop by the front desk to grab another one. You also have the option to order online by visiting mylifetouch.com and typing in the Picture Day Code: EVTD24QST The Make-Up Day for this event will take place on November 17 Uniform for Picture Day: In the past, students were required to wear their white Oxford shirts to be photographed for the yearbook. This year, because of our unique circumstances with uniforms, students will be allowed to wear their white Oxford or their CSP polo shirt. We will no longer lend out shirts or ties to students to be photographed for the yearbook. That practice has been discontinued.

SCHOOL NEWS
Have you recently moved or planning to?
Parents/guardians, If you have moved or plan to soon, please reach out to me to update your child's record. Although we are a Charter School, we must comply with AACPS policies, including parents notifying the school if their address changes. I need to be made aware of the change even if you still reside in Anne Arundel County. Once you reach out to me, I will provide you with the necessary paperwork to update your child's school file. Failure to do so may result in a request to transfer your student to their home school. Please keep in mind if you move, and your child is a bus rider, we do not automatically place them on a new bus. There has to be space on the bus for us to make a change. If you have any questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to contact me. June Calvert Registrar

Is your child transferring to another school?
Parents/guardians, If your child is transferring to another school, please notify me as soon as possible. I will prepare a transfer packet to make your transition run smoothly and ensure the new school has all of the necessary documents for registration. All Anne Arundel County schools require a transfer packet from the previous school at the time of registration. Please keep in mind, preparing the packet may take a day or two, so I encourage you to notify me as soon as you know. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

CSP Chemistry & Physics Student Start the Year off with a Bang!
Jumping back into school isn't easy for anyone. The Sophomores and Juniors in Honors Chemistry and Honors Physics have taken on the challenge and surpassed all expectation. They have recreated Galileo's groundbreaking constant acceleration experiment, learned about and questioned the elements that make up all the things around us, and went beyond the content to analyze the world around them. Please check out some of the awesome work being done by just a few of our many star students.

Settling In
As students are settling into Biology class, we are learning about cells and the chemistry that happens at the cellular level, and how they can support life. Thank you to Kai, Prashanna, Brodie, and Tabari for volunteering to help when I needed it. The class and I appreciate you for that. Upcoming lessons will be about organic molecules where we will talk about food and nutrition. Students will be learning about what's in their food and how they can recognize the ingredients and the nutrition in those ingredients. Finally, students will think about how that will affect their bodies.
