FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Important Information - End of the 4th Quarter Grades
Greetings CSP Families, The end of the fourth marking period is upon us and teachers are working tirelessly to get students to submit assignments. Many students are two or three points away from passing a class for the quarter which also impacts their semester grade. Parents, I am imploring that you meet with your student to review their current grades. If they are missing assignments, please work with them to submit the assignments for partial credit. If there are questions about an assignment, please contact the teacher. Middle School students who fail two or more core content classes will have to attend Summer School to make up the class. High School students who fail a semester or the entire year will also have to attend Summer or Evening High School to make up the class. We are not allowing students to repeat courses hear at Chesapeake Science Point and there will be no social promotions. Please take this opportunity to work with your student and assist them with making up all missing assignments. There is still time to do so. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me djefferson@mycsp.org.

Senior Class Information
Greetings CSP Families, It is hard to believe that we will gather to formally celebrate our seniors. We at Chesapeake Science Point are so excited about seeing our graduating seniors in person! As we prepare for the commencement, it is vital that we revisit protocols for that day. Tickets All tickets should be picked up by June 9. We have several families who have yet to retrieve their allotted tickets. All persons must be in possession of a ticket in order to enter the venue. I cannot stress the importance of this. Persons without a ticket will be turned away. Students On graduation day, all seniors must arrive at 2:30 pm dressed in their cap and gown and ready for the graduation ceremony. Students will be rehearsing at this time since the original rehearsal was canceled. Please make sure your child does not bring make-up bags, clothes to change into, or other items like this as there is no place for them to store items. Seating Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all seats are sectioned off in groups of four. All members of a family must sit together. Unlike previous graduations where seating was open, all four ticket holders must sit together. We will allow parents and guests to begin entering the venue at 4:15 pm. Seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. During the Ceremony Please remain seated throughout the program, particularly when diplomas are being presented. The aisles must remain clear, and pictures may be taken only from your seat. A professional photographer will take photos of each graduate as they receive their diploma Conclusion of Graduation As the graduates begin their processional march, they will retrieve their senior gift bags and proceed directly to their cars. Unfortunately, gathering to take commemorative photos will not be allowed. All guests are required to proceed directly to their cars and exit the venue.
