CSP Families in Need - Holiday Sharing
|
Parents,
There is still time to donate gift cards for our CSP families in need. We are collecting Amazon, Walmart, Target, and grocery gift cards until December 16. You can drop off gift cards on Monday and Tuesday between the hours of 8-3:00 pm. There is a box set up at the front entrance for you to drop gift cards into. We cannot accept cards after Tuesday as we will be distributing them on Wednesday morning.
If you would like to donate, please click on the link below to sign up. You can donate as many gift cards as you want.

Gift Giving During the Holidays
|
We have received multiple emails from parents asking about dropping off gifts for teachers. Unfortunately, we are asking parents to please refrain from doing so this year. With the increase in COVID cases, I am doing my best to keep our staff as safe as possible. I hope you understand that this was a difficult choice. You can send e-cards and e-gift cards instead if you wish. I have attached the staff directory with the email addresses of our staff.
Thank you for your understanding on this matter.

Personalized Instruction with iReady
|
Dear CSP Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to remind you that CSP is implementing a Mathematics and Reading program called i-Ready. Below, you will find information about the program and how we will be using it in the classroom.
What is i-Ready?
i-Ready is an online program that will help us determine your child’s strengths and areas for growth, personalize their learning, and monitor their progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows us to meet your child where they are and provides us with data to inform instruction.
The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions to suit your child’s needs. Each item a student receives is based on their answer to the previous question. For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield slightly easier ones. The purpose of this is not to give your child a score or grade but to determine how to best support their learning.
i-Ready Instruction provides students with lessons based on their individual strengths and areas for growth. These lessons are interactive and provide strategic supports to keep your child engaged as they learn.
What can I do to help?
To support your child’s learning in Online Instruction, you can:
• Discuss your child’s progress on their i-Ready lessons.
• Celebrate your child’s learning and growth.
• Encourage them to use i-Ready at home.
o They will need access to a computer or iPad®, internet, and their login information. To check if your system meets i-Ready system requirements, please visit i-Ready.com/Support to run a system check.
Thank you for your continued support and for being a partner in your child’s learning! We look forward to sharing i-Ready information with you throughout the year. If you have any questions about i-Ready, please do not hesitate to contact any of us. You can also learn more about i-Ready by visiting i-ReadyCentral.com/FamilyCenter.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Motsco, Middle School Assistant Principal
Mrs. Messer, Mathematics Department Chairperson
Ms. Bulisco, English Department Chairperson

U.S. History Grade 9

We analyzed the causes of the Great Depression Era. Next week, we will examine the plight of farmers in the Dust Bowl. Students will supplement their knowledge with a novel study, through their English curriculum. The English and Social Studies departments are excited to provide students with an engaging, multi-disciplinary experience.

The weeks before the holiday break will be dedicated to early political parties, and 2 notable figures: Hamilton and Jefferson. Whose policies do we agree with most? We will decide next week.
I encourage every student to drop into a flex learning class, to review grades. Interims are fast approaching.
