BREAKING NEWS
Congratulations Darsana!
On Friday, May 31st select student leaders from all Anne Arundel County Public Schools (middle and high school) travelled to Chesapeake High School to elect the new officers of the Chesapeake Regional Associations of Student Councils (CRASC). CRASC is the parent organization for Student Government Associations and Student Councils across AACPS. Every Spring, in addition to the student member of the board elections, students elect the governing officer board for CRASC. Darsana (third from left) was elected to be the next Secretary of Communication. Darsana will start the position at the next CRASC meeting. CRASC meets every other Wednesday evening at 6pm at the Board of Education building. CRASC membership is open to all students of AACPS. Transfers and Immunization
Hello Parent/Guardians, Just a reminder if your child is transferring or withdrawing from CSP, you will need a transfer packet from me. This takes time to do, so I will need advance notice so that you will receive it in a timely manner. I will need the name and phone number to the school they will be attending. Upcoming 7th graders will need the Menningoccal (MVC4) and Tetanus, diphtheria & acellular pertusis vaccine (tdap) before entering the 7th grade. If you have not already done so, please send me an updated immunization record when your child receives them. Thank you,

June Calvert

THANK-YOU
Donations for Media Center-Thank you!
We put out the call – and YOU answered! A heart-felt “thank you” to one of our new families (the Shugarman family), whose son will be coming to CSP in the Fall, and to Ms. June Calvert, our Registrar, for their donations of a card game and Nintendo Wii hardware respectively. We’re now on the prowl for paddles and games to support some major Wii fun in the coming final days of school -- and to add to next years “fun” as well. Again, if you find yourself house cleaning and wanting to rid the house of un-used board or Wii games, please send them in with your son or daughter. All donations gratefully accepted and appreciated! Thanks again to everyone who has supported our student body, and the Media Center, this year! We wish you all a safe, and happy, summer!

Dear families, As the school year comes to an end, I like to look back at the memories we’ve made together. We have become more knowledgeable of the languages and cultures of the world through our participation in events such as the field trip to see the Latin-American Ballet Performance and a visit to an authentic Mexican restaurant. We gained awareness on environmental issues around the world by creating green screen presentations on renewable energy. We demonstrated our understanding of literature through art integration with painting and clay. We prepared to take on the jobs of the future by writing resumes and participating in mock interviews. We pushed ourselves to excel by taking on the opportunity to become members of the Hispanic Honors Society. These are only a few of the adventures that we took on, overall, we were busy creating a community of global citizens that value diversity and respect the cultures of the world and each other. Thank you CSP community for a great year. I hope that you have a safe and enjoyable summer. Mrs. Albayrak World and Classical Languages Lead Teacher
