Attendance - We Need Your Notes / Emails
|
Parents / Guardians,
When a student misses time from school, a parent must provide a note to the appropriate person as to why the student missed school. If you prefer to send hand written notes please have your student give the note directly to Ms. June for middle school and Ms. O'Brien for high school. The student has the option to place the note directly in the mailbox if either one of us is away from our desk.
You also have the option of emailing the note and I have provided the email addresses below. Please be sure to include the following information with every note.
Student First and last name
Grade level
Date student was absent / late to school / left school early
Reason for absence / tardy / early dismissal
jcalvert@mycsp.org - middle school (office is located inside of the media center)
aobrien@mycsp.org - high school (office is located near the front desk area)
Please take a moment to look over our attendance policy in depth, so you are aware of what is considered lawful and unlawful absences.

Repeat-Free School
|
CSP continues to provide a rigorous and quality education to all students. It has always been our goal to improve upon past practices, find new ways to engage students and make learning something students enjoy. We also believe that high school students need to put forth that same effort in order to be become successful adults; therefore, CSP is Repeat Free. If a student receives an E in a required high school course, the class will have to be repeated in an alternate program such as summer school, evening school and twilight school. These programs are available for students to make up credits in courses that they were not successful in the first time; classes at CSP are for students taking them for original credit. If a student does not make up the failed class in one of these alternative programs, there is a chance that we will not be able to schedule the student for the classes required for graduation and the student will have to take classes at CSP for more than four years.

Attendance
|
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We understand that being in school and arriving on time is sometimes unavoidable. However, it's essential to your child as well as other students to make sure they are receiving important uninterrupted announcements. The car rider entrance allows students to enter the building as early as 8:00 and closes at 8:15. at which time they must enter through the front door. Please make sure that your child arrives to school with enough time to visit their locker, restrooms, etc. so they are in their classrooms by 8:20. Students that are not in the classroom by 8:20 will be marked late to school or late to class depending on when they arrived. Excessive tardy's will result in detention.
Thank You,
June Calvert

DONATIONS NEEDED
|
|
Donations for the Holiday Shop
|
We are looking for donations of old and new items for our Holiday Gift Shop. This is a great way for you to clean out the clutter and for the students to find gifts at a low cost. We are looking for items that appeal to all ages. Some ideas are action figures, books, decor, and jewelry. The students will be able to purchase gifts the week of December 16. All proceeds that are raised will be used for an artist resident. This year we are bringing back Slam Poet Gayle Danley. Please send donations into Mrs. Pratt by December 10.

THANK-YOU
|
|
NHS Blood Drive
|
National Honor Society would like to send a big thank you to all those students, faculty, and parents who donated blood during our first Red Cross Blood Drive. We were able to fill 52 spots for donation in advance and welcomed several walkin donations as well which is well beyond the original goal set for our small school. One of the highlights of the day for NHS was watching the Red Cross representative pick up the first two cases of our blood to go to be processed. It's an amazing experience for the kids to be involved in something so important and so helpful. Service to our community enriches our lives beyond measure and teaches our kids more than we realize. Our next drive will be May 21st 2019 in the gymnasium. We can't wait to surpass our goal next time as well! Thank you again!
