READ ACROSS AMERICA 2018
CSP's English/Language Arts department had a fantastic time celebrating NEA's 20th anniversary of READ ACROSS AMERICA with our middle and high school students this year! Each ELA teacher added their favorite literary quote that was read on the morning and afternoon announcements throughout the week, students donated THOUSANDS of books for our Book Swap, we held our Book Swap during lunches on Wednesday and Thursday and students went home with "new to them" books, students bought raffle tickets to win the complete sets or near complete sets of popular novels, teachers and students dressed up as their favorite book character or author on Thursday- earning a FREE dress-down pass for Monday, March 5th and a raffle ticket for a surprise prize that we will pick Monday afternoon, AND perhaps the most impressive event... each ELA class created a STATE COLLAGE- researching popular authors and literary works from the state. Some of our 12th grade student aides worked tirelessly to assemble the almost 10 foot by 10 foot map of the United States which is displayed outside of the Gym.

A big THANKS to our AMAZING English/Language arts department and everyone else who participated in the events to make this year's celebration AWESOME!
