Towson University at CMIT-S
Today all 8th grade and CLP students had the opportunity to hear from a college admissions counselor from Towson University. Mr. Fetrow informed students on the college admissions process, college essays, SAT/ACT, tuition costs and specific information on Towson University. The students were engaged and asked great questions about college. Students learned what college admission counselors are looking for when they review college applications. Mr. Fetrow stressed the importance of grades, the college essay and extra-curricular activities. He shared tips on writing a great college essay that will allow students to stand out from other applicants. He also discussed how to apply to college and the early application process. He provided students with information on various college majors and post-secondary opportunities. In closing he challenged students to start their college exploration process early. He reminded them that this will be one of the most expensive purchases they will ever make. Overall, this was a great learning experience for CMIT-S students.
