GENERAL NEWS
Principal's Corner
Happy Friday Families, It's getting closer! Next week Seniors will have graduated! Eighth graders will be that much closer to their promotion! How exciting! Parents please continue to encourage our scholars to stay focused and finish the year strong! CMIT/PGCPS material drop off days will be Monday, June 14th and Tuesday, June 15th. Scholars who graduated and/or will not be returning in the fall should return all school related materials to CMIT South MHS. You will receive more information soon. We will also accept all uniform donations. We kindly ask that they are cleaned, folded, and placed in a bag when you bring them. All school issued computers are to be returned with all accessories. Additionally, if your scholar received a PGCPS hot spot, that needs to be returned to CMIT South as well, along with all accessories. There has been a recall on some of the hotspots provided by the district. If you will still need a hot spot for your summer school use, we will do our best to switch out your current hot spot for a replacement. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation in this matter.

Student Portraits for the Virtual Yearbook
Hello CMIT Students and Families, As you may know, this year our Yearbook Staff is putting together a virtual yearbook to celebrate and document this school year (this is for the high school side only). Unfortunately, we were not able to take traditional school portraits - so in order to fill our portrait pages, we need your help! You will take a picture at home (instructions are included) and send it to the Yearbook Staff using the Google form below: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf_Lwcy9Rpudf5RVq5CKIRYwURpR72ZfPska0RtU04KhoVgaQ/viewform Please upload a maximum of two photos for our yearbook staff to choose between for the virtual yearbook. Each picture should: -Be taken with the camera held horizontally. -Be well-lit so that we can clearly see the student's face. -Have a solid, neutral colored background (as much as possible). -Portrait should be taken from mid-chest up and student should fill up most of the frame. -No hand gestures may be visible. Attached is an image (which is also in the google form) to provide some examples of what the yearbook staff is looking for. All portraits should be submitted no later than Friday, May 28th. Thank you!
