National Bullying Prevention Month
CMIT-South is celebrating National Bullying Prevention Month!

Each week in October will represent different ways that WE (students, staff, and families) can get involved to officially stomp out bullying.

I say WE because in order for CMIT-South to be bully-free, all members of the community need to be involved. Please encourage your children to be part of the solution.. not the problem.

The attached document includes descriptions of the themes for each week in October.

Thank you!

LEARNING MATH BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
Fun learning is boundless and limitless at CMIT South. The Delaware group in our Accelerated Math 2 class had a great time classifying numbers using the giant Real Number System chart set up in the hallway. This is one way we emphasize upon our students that learning takes place everywhere, and how Math becomes a life skill in various circumstances.

Staff Participates in College Fridays
CMIT-South is proud to announce that every Friday is College Friday!

What is a College Friday?

College Fridays are days in which staff members wear college and university apparel to represent and support post-secondary education. Staff members are encouraged to engage in discussion about their college experience with their students.

Please encourage your students to take notice of the different colleges and universities the staff members are representing. We have staff members from all over the world, so this is the perfect opportunity for the students to see what options are out there. The possibilities for our students are endless!

STUDENT SAFETY DURING PICKUP

During the pickup period in the afternoon, some students have been directed by their parents to walk off CMIT South property in order to meet parents on the streets. Please note that this not a safe practice and is strongly discouraged by CMIT South. CMIT South does not have enough personnel to supervise your students once off CMIT South property. This is a highly risky practice that endangers your child's safety.
Please instruct your children to remain on school property at all times. CMIT South will not be liable for any issues resulting from this dangerous practice.
