Arboretum & Botanical Gardens and often have groups help cultivate our living campus. Volunteers have an opportunity to work at various sites across campus, learn about the site, and then perform hands on work to clear it of debris, invasive species, plant new plants, etc. Volunteers work with our campus storm water manager, our arborist, and our horticultural staff, so it's a great learning opportunity as well.

RISE for Autism is hosting our Second Annual iCan! Shine Bike Camp for Individuals with Special Needs June 25th-30th at Old Mill High School. We are looking for volunteers to commit to at least one session each day (e.g. 8:15-9:45AM Monday through Friday) as a spotter to help our campers learn to ride a bike independently for the first time! There are multiple sessions available to fit a volunteer's busy schedule.

Spotters should be physically fit to jog or run alongside riders, especially the last couple of days of camp when campers are riding independently. This is the perfect opportunity to make an immediate difference in the lives of individuals with special needs and to collect service hours! Please share with anyone you think may be interested!
