GENERAL NEWS
STEM Fair / Maker Faire
CMIT South experienced its 3rd annual STEM Fair/Make Faire today. Many impressive projects and ideas were presented to the judges.

Students spent enormous amount of time to prepare by researching, writing research papers, experimenting, analyzing data, and creating their boards. Science and Reading & Language Arts teachers allocated instruction time to train the students during the first quarter.

Judges and volunteers were impressed with the quality of many projects. Special thanks go to the volunteer judges, parents, and the amazing Science team: Mr. Davidson, Mrs. Fay, Ms. Brown, Mrs. Bates, and Mr. Wassam who dedicated their days and nights to prep for the event.

Once the judge scores are calculated, winners will be announced next week. 36 Amazon Echo dots will be presented as awards for the winners. Those students may have an opportunity to compete at the CLF STEM/Maker Faire on Saturday, January 28.

Congratulations to the students, staff, and parents.

CMIT-S Girls Basketball Season Wrap-Up
Our very own CMIT-S Lady Tigers finished their season last week with a record of 7-2 and finished third in the division. Our defense was a terror for our opponents as our average margin of victory was at an awesome 34 points. Every member of the team contributed to the success of the season. I am extremely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by these young ladies. Congrats!
