The Green Energy Generation Club
|
Hi CMIT, here are your weekly updates on the Green Energy Generation Club, Aquaponics, and the Solar Clock. The Green Energy Generation Club is set to collaborate with the CMIT Robotics Team to incorporate a Solar Clock into the Weather Station installation in front of the entrance to CMIT. We will be working closely in the design, build, decoration, and upkeep processes for this clock so that we can provide another resource for all who frequent our school. This clock will utilize solar power to run, in a similar manner to the weather station. This is an important learning artifact and experiment, as we will be using this Green Energy Installation (the combined structures of the weather station, solar panel, battery storage, and solar clock) to provide power for our Aquaponics garden. The Green Energy Generation club has plans to install an aquaponics garden in the front entrance area to CMIT. We want to showcase our serious commitment to being an environmentally conscious and sustainable community here at CMIT. This will help us show the US Department of Education that we are investing our time and energy into improving our world. Keep your eyes on the newsletter for frequent updates on this process and look toward the front of the school to see how our Green Energy Installation will help pave the way to a greener future.
Are you interested in being involved in this and future projects? Send an email to Mr. McKinley and Dr. Clarke stating your commitment to joining the Green Energy Generation Club. We meet Thursdays from 3-5 pm and Saturdays from 9 am-1 pm.
Best,
Zach McKinley, M. Ed.

9G Parent Workshop | Improving Performance in Quarter 2
|
Subject: 9G Parent Workshop | Improving Performance in Quarter 2
Hello, 9th Grade Families:
Please mark your calendars to join me and Mr. Conde for a presentation about improving student performance in the second quarter.
This presentation is geared toward 9th grade students due to the number of students receiving at least one D or E in the first quarter and the number of students struggling to attend classes on time. The numbers we are seeing are unprecedented for us, and we want to be sure you are aware of the challenges and opportunities that exist for students who might be struggling.
If you have concerns about your student's progress during the first quarter or just want to join us to make sure the strategies you have in place will support your student's success in the second quarter, join us on November 30th virtually from 6pm to 8pm. Check your email for a message from me containing the link to join the virtual meeting.
Best Regards,
Ms. Colandrea

TUTORING AND ACADEMIC SERVICES
|
CMIT offers supplemental learning to support the classroom experience through tutoring and academic services. This program helps students improve their assignment grades and increase connections with our clubs. Our academic couches help our students stay on schedule and task. The following courses have been added to our tutoring program as a result of the efforts of our esteemed faculty.
Moreover, although students are free to walk into the tutoring session, all parents must be aware that the students were registered to join in the tutoring class. Attendance is taken each session and is in small groups. All afterschool programs and clubs have specific students to conform to the attendance afterschool requirements. We Are Deep Diving in Salesforce
|
I am happy to share that last two months we learned;
What is Salesforce CRM? Differentiating Salesforce Classic and Lightning Navigating Salesforce Exploring different search options Using list views across all objects Using Salesforce Chatter in your organization Customizing personal settings options available to end users.
What is the Salesforce economy? What does CRM stand for? What are the two advantages of using Salesforce Lightning? Are all tabs objects? What is an app in Salesforce? What does a global search return? What is the default list view that appears when you go to a tab for the first time, and can the default view be changed? Which personal setting allows you to grant login access to Salesforce customer service? What are some ways that leads can be captured? What determines whether a lead should be converted into an opportunity? What happens to a Closed - Not Converted (Unqualified) lead? What happens to a converted lead? Where does it go? Where does the company information go when a lead is converted? What is Web-to-Lead used for? Once you have generated the HTML code, what do you do with it? What does the Org-Wide Merge and Delete lead setting allow you to do? What are some use cases for the types of accounts that an organization may want to keep track of in Salesforce? Why would you want to create contacts related to accounts you are doing business with? When would you create a relationship from a contact to an account that the contact does not directly work for? How can you enable the Relationships feature? How do you remove a relationship?
We will continue with deep learning.
