Una Fiesta de Cultura
|
This Thursday, we celebrated Hispanic culture in food, music, dance, and clothing! Students and staff were invited to wear traditional clothing. Several families donated food items for a staff lunch and display for students. In the afternoon, under the direction of dance intructor, Sra. Paola Velez, students enjoyed a traditional dance performance and a costume parade. She ended the assembly with bachata, salsa, and merengue lessons for all.
Thank you to our families, students, staff, and community members who are contributing to making this four weeks of celebration a blast. There is more to come!
¡Viva la Hispanidad!

Earth Optimism First Meeting
|
Hello students!
For all those that are joining Earth Optimism Club, you MUST attend the first meeting on October 4th in room 331. If you cannot attend, you must send an email to BOTH Mrs. Cunning and Ms. Gonzalez explaining why you are not able to attend and why you still want to be considered into the club.
It is expected that club members come to at least 75% of the meetings, actively contribute, and have a signed publicity release form. Membership can be revoked if you are found to not be compliant with the expectations above and other rules/expectations discussed at the first meeting.
Due to our collaboration with the Smithsonian and World Wildlife Fund, we will be holding our club members accountable. We want to provide numerous opportunities for students, therefore have high expectations. Students that do not meet these expectations will be dismissed from the club.
We look forward to you joining us!
