TUTORING SERVICES WRITING WORKSHOP, A SUCCESSFUL EVENT
|
CMIT Tutoring and Academic Services held a writing workshop last Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Students learned how to develop their writing skills by taking ownership of their own writing through the guidance from our very own experienced writer, Ms. Matson
The writing workshop addressed how to prewrite, draft, revised, edit, and published work. The students also learned how to be strategic in writing the different types of essays.
This workshop also aimed to prepare students for taking the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP).

Class of 2022: Senior Prom Updates
|
Prom tickets are now on sale for $80 and may be purchased through www.myschoolbucks.com or directly from Mr. Hommel in Room #142. Students must submit a signed prom contract to Mr. Hommel prior to purchasing a ticket. Prom is Saturday, May 14th at The Great Room of Historic Savage Mill. We are finalizing the menu which will feature many options, including an ice cream bar, all with the ingredients listed for allergy and dietary purposes. We will have a DJ, 360 photo booth, voting for Prom King and Queen, and much more!
Tickets may also be purchased as part of your senior package and those package options will be made available this week. One thing to note is that the prom venue's main parking lot is small and serves many shops in addition to The Great Room. Accordingly, prom attendees will need to park in the overflow lot. The Great Room is located on the 2nd level of the Old Weave building, and the overflow lot is a few blocks away. (Seen here on the left of the map: https://www.savagemill.com/directions/) Prom attendees, and particularly ladies with their dresses and heels, are encouraged to be dropped off by the main entrance. If this is not feasible, we are going to have flip flops on standby for anyone who needs them to walk the path to the venue. The walk takes a few minutes, but it is not too daunting. There will also be staff members to help guide attendees to the right location, and to help monitor the parking lot.
Things are really coming together and we can't wait to see you at prom!
