WHAT DID YOU DO IN 2020-2021? Record it in our YEARBOOK!
|
Yearbook club has been hard at work putting together a yearbook like no other! We are trying to capture the crazy year we have had and need your help.
Take funny candids of yourself in front of your computer during distance learning.
Show a new skill you learned during the pandemic--maybe cooking with your siblings or a new dance move! Take a picture and send it in for the yearbook.
Maybe you are in the class of 2021 and want to say thanks to your teachers, parents, friends and supporters with a sign or picture.....sent it in to the yearbook!
Maybe you are playing a sport and have some fun action shots of your team during practice....take a photo and send it in to the yearbook!
Please submit candid pictures of CMIT life during distance learning. We want to see YOU in the pages of CMIT's historic year!
Help us capture these moments so you can look back and remember how you never gave up!
Candids of you playing basketball outside, working in class, chatting with friends through apps....all of this will help us create a yearbook that defines this time.
If you want to submit a drawing, a poem, or even a joke, please send your submissions and photos to yearbook@cmitacademy.org.
If you have any questions, please let Ms. O'Donnell know at todonnell@cmitacademy.org
All photos must be submitted by Friday, April 30th.

2021 FRC Competition Complete
|
Members of Team 4464 completed Zoom interviews to compete in the Infinite Recharge at Home competition for the 2021 season. We presented in the forum for Game Design, talking to the judges about Robotic Dodge Ball. In this game, robots try to lob a dodge ball into a basket attached to the opposing robots, where a basket scores the maximum number of points. They can also shoot at fixed baskets, but for fewer points. The judges seemed impressed with the idea.
The robotic competition consisted of talking about the robot, the design, and build process we went through. The judges were impressed there by the fact that we did not build this frame from a kit and how we worked out the shooter, pickup, and control panel spinners.
Next up for the club is seeing if we can participate in an open event to be held by MASER on April 22nd.

Drama Club loves HAMILTON!
|
Just before spring break, the drama club watched and discussed the documentary, "Hamilton: One Shot to Broadway" that not only explored how the breakout musical Hamilton came to Broadway, but also explained the historical significance of the main characters. It was a great opportunity to see some of the details that go into bringing a work to the Broadway stage. After viewing, there was discussion about the musical itself and the actors in the original cast. It was a great way to start the break.
This month, Drama Club will be exploring monologues. We will watch some classic and newer monologue performances as well as consider monologues for our own performances! All are welcome to join us on Tuesdays at 3:15-4:15pm. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. O'Donnell.
