RAMADAN is Here!!!
Muslims all across the world are going to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan starting April 13th on Tuesday. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until dusk and do not eat or drink anything during the day and break their fast in evening. Ramadan is not just there for abstaining from food or drink, though - it is practiced mainly to build character and self-discipline, as well as increase awareness of true dependence on God. CMIT has many staff members as well as students who are observing Ramadan, so the CMIT MSA club is having a discussion this Friday at 7PM all about Ramadan and health benefits of fasting. We have a guest speaker Mr. Muhammad who is currently a medical student at Johns Hopkins university in Baltimore, MD. He is passionate about public health advocacy particularly relating to local and global healthcare disparities and he is going to make a presentation about Ramadan and answer your questions about Ramadan. Everyone is welcome to participate if you are interested in this topic Date: April 9th on Friday at 7 PM Zoom info is below: Topic: All about Ramadan Time: Apr 9, 2021 07:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada) Join Zoom Meeting https://pgcps-org.zoom.us/j/82469350490?pwd=ek5EU05wSzVtdnliTmx6Qm5CcWFZQT09 Meeting ID: 824 6935 0490 Passcode: 722709
