BREAKING NEWS
Dual Enrollment Applications in April
Dual Enrollment Applications for the Summer and Fall 2021 Semesters will open in April! Reminder: students must apply for Dual Enrollment every semester they wish to participate, even if they have taken Dual Enrollment courses in past semesters. In mid-April (when the county makes an updated list available), Ms. Gaudette will send out a list of courses that students are eligible for based on their GPA and/or test scores. The PGCC Dual Enrollment platform will open on April 19th and close on May 3rd. At that time, students will be able to apply for Summer and/or Fall 2021 courses. If students are also interested in courses through Bowie State, the Bowie State Part 1 PGCPS Dual Enrollment Google Form will open in early April and close on May 3rd as well. Students are strongly encouraged to start considering their interests ahead of the platform opening as classes fill quickly. The recommended per semester cap is 2 courses per semester. If rising SENIORS are interested in substituting their Senior Math, Senior English, or Senior Elective with a Dual Enrollment course, they are required to set up a meeting with their Counselor through the Meet the Teacher Platform (information below). Note: ITEC students do not need to schedule a meeting with their counselor for courses through the ITEC program. MeetTheTeacher Appointment Selection: https://cmitnorthhs.meettheteacher.com/ Note: MeetTheTeacher Guide was sent through the Course Placements email! Our average number of applications per seniors (for those that applied) is 7 per student. We have submitted a total of 713 applications to 166 colleges nationwide and internationally. 82 of our seniors have already accumulated 332 acceptances by the end of March 2021! Our seniors have already notified us of a cumulative $4.2 million in 4-year scholarship awards (NOT including ANY loans!!). That is amazing! If your senior has gotten any recent acceptances or financial aid offers, please make sure they communicate that information to their counselors.
