Ukulele Shout out- Thank you Ms. Houston and Dr. Clarke
I always thought that we could only receive gifts from our family and friends but not from somebody who is foreign to us. My parents always instilled in my sister and me that we needed to work hard for anything we wanted. And I wanted a guitar at first, but I came across the UKULELE ORCHESTRA of CMIT and I was immediately eager to join. I told my mom about it and she approved. I spoke to the club coordinator about my interest in the club and she was excited for me to join but there was one thing holding me back: I didn't have the privilege of owning a ukulele because buying the instrument is not my budget. I kept on thinking about looking for ways that I can afford to join the club. Earlier today, I received a wonderful blessing from our CMIT teacher. I shout out to my benefactor Ms. Houston, who kindly fulfilled my dream. I am grateful beyond measure. Thank you, Ms. Houston, for believing in a beginning artist like me. I promise to take very good care of it and practice at least four times a week so that you giving it to me will be worth it. Thank you too to my teacher, Dr. Clarke, who never ceased to help students. I knew that more students would like to join the UKulele and that you keep on looking for sponsors for them. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure that I received a ukulele from practicing the chords, which I am only familiar with by using an imaginary string. I am very excited to join the Ukulele club and to learn how to play the instrument properly. I will always cherish being part of CMIT school who endowed us with high caliber teachers and staff and people of good heart. I also encourage others to donate/sponsor other students with ukulele because it might just make their day better like it did mine.

Photographer of the Week!
Hello CMIT! This week's photographer of the week is... Hafsah Ghori! The photos taken of her younger brother showcase her ability to utilize a low shutter speed, capturing a range of motion appearing as a blur. The way she instructed her subject and directed his movements portray her creative approach to the prompt. Well done Hafsah! She holds the title from last week too! Congrats! The photo taken of a camera in the leaves was chosen by club members to represent the CMIT Photography Club Instagram as the IG page's profile picture!
