BREAKING NEWS
Ramadan is Here!!!
Muslims all across the world are currently celebrating the holy month of Ramadan. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn until dusk. Muslims do not eat or drink anything during the day and break their fast in evening. Ramadan is not just there for abstaining from food or drink, though - it is practiced mainly to build character and self-discipline, as well as increase awareness of true dependence on God. CMIT has many staff members as well as students who are currently observing Ramadan, so here is some additional information about it.

HS BREAKING NEWS
Update | Decreasing Student Tardies
CMIT Families: We have seen a great decrease in the number of students lingering in the hallways after transitions. A huge thank you to students, families, and our staff for making the effort to get our hallways clear and ensure students are in place to learn. We will continue with hall sweeps through the end of the year with the hope that the expectation of timeliness will remain in tact in the fall. Here are some things our students can keep in mind to avoid hall sweeps: - pay attention to the time as they move between classes - move into their next classrooms (or cafeteria during their lunch time) as soon as possible during bell changes - get passes from staff if they will be tardy and it should be excused - remember that they should not leave classrooms until after the first 10 minutes of class Please note, the first week or so of hall sweeps, we contacted parents and gave students warnings. Now, we are assigning consequences. After three tardies, students will be assigned a Saturday detention. After two additional tardies, the consequence will escalate. Let's continue working together toward student success. Respectfully,

Mother's Day Message
In 1914, the late President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating the 2nd Sunday of May a national holiday to honor mothers. Today, we know it as Mother's Day. The PTO pauses to recognize the multiple talents and contributions in honor of moms and mothers-to-be at CMIT Academy with this greeting -- https://www.hallmarkecards.com/pickup/ecard/bloXDYAdBlKVxkLRXRWyRG45Z . Enjoy your holiday!
