Administrative Procedure 5116 | Grade Change Authorizations + Appeals
|
Hello, CMIT Families.
The first quarter has now drawn to an end, and we want to make you aware of some new administrative procedures set by the county. All grade changes must be entered by a specific date after the end of each quarter. In order for this to happen, parents and guardians or students who believe a grade was entered incorrectly must make grade appeals WITHIN FIVE DAYS OF THE RELEASE OF REPORT CARDS.
Ideally, we would like to minimize the number of grade changes that must be made after the end of each quarter. To assist with this, families, please be sure you are monitoring SchoolMax and reaching out to your student's teachers as soon as possible if you have questions about the grades your student is receiving.
Respectfully,
CMIT Administration

The Bells Are Ringing! Be on Time
|
We are still working hard to support students to be on time to class. With a four-minute transition time, we believe this should be possible. Still, officers in our Student Government Association have suggested that we add a 30-second warning bell before the late bell to alert students that it is time to move. So, this is what we have done!
You can help us out. Encourage your students to take care of business before socializing in the hallways and pass along any other strategies that might help them get to class on time. We are confident that we can reduce the number of students in the hallway after the bell by working together.
