Sarah Isichei, LSU, (Left) Sarah is a very dedicated and responsible student. She works diligently in class, is willing to go above and beyond if needed, and is a pleasure to teach! Cody Davenport, VA Tech, (Right) Cody is very respectful towards his teachers and his peers in class. He works very hard, helps those around him when needed, and is a phenomenal participator!

The 2017-18 "A Touch of Gold" yearbook has arrived and been passed out to those who purchased! We still have a few extra copies that can be purchased starting today for $100 in room 218 before and after school as well as during lunch. “CLASS OF 2022” Attention 8th Grade Students and 8th Grade Parents: The 8th grade field day is scheduled on May 25th, 2018 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Eighth graders are asked to wear their gym uniforms for this event. There will be games, grilled hot dogs (students can bring their lunch), music, a photo booth and treats for everyone. Kona Ice will be on site to help support the Class of 2022 and will be selling ice cones ranging from $3 to $6. Students and parents are asked to donate chips, sodas, juices and other items to the front office for PRS points.

Both Anatomy & Physiology/Medical Science classes participated in the medical terms spelling bee Monday and Tuesday. Students spelled words such as cerumen, peristalsis, triglyceride, and encephalopathy. First place winners: John Elesho and Antonio Perez Runners up: Trae' Jones and Nyah Abraham Congratulations to them and to all my students who participated in the spelling bee!

Suzanne Coholic High School Science Teacher

I just want to reiterate that I am continuing to tutor on Mondays and Fridays from 3-4 pm. Those who need a little extra help, do not hesitate to come and join us! This week (May 14-18), we are going to give the Spanish Final to all students. It will be a general knowledge test.

Attention Parents! It is time for us to think about our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) leadership for the upcoming school year. CMIT North is a good school, but we can be a GREAT school with more parent involvement. The PTO nominating committee is still seeking persons willing to serve on the Board and will present a list of potential candidates at the next PTO meeting.
