8th Grade Parents: Promotion Video Montage
As the year draws to a close and your scholars move on to the next chapter in their lives, we would like to take a moment to remember your babies the way they were and are at their 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony.

An email from Dropbox, inviting all 8th Grade parents to upload pictures by college, has been sent out. Please take a few moments to upload a few pictures that show your scholar through the brief, yet memorable years spanning from birth to their 8th grade year. We will do our best to get as many of the pictures you upload in the presentation.

Please make sure you upload your scholar's pictures and label with names so there is no confusion with any of the photos.

Congratulations on your scholar's achievements!

MS TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ms. Sumor's Classes
Our time together is quickly coming to an end. I have really enjoyed being part of the CMIT team. It's been a pleasure teaching these wonderful scholars.

In the next couple of weeks we will be wrapping up our unit on Science Fiction and Fantasy. We have been looking at the essential question: How do Science Fiction and Fantasy writers give us insight into our own world? In preparation for our last essay, we have read several short stories in the genre. The final essay for our class is as follows: Select one of the texts we've read and write an essay in which you analyze how the setting shapes the characters, plot, and theme.

The Passion Project will serve as the final exam for the class. All projects are to be submitted via Google Classroom no later than midnight on June 4, 2017.
