General Meeting for Beijing, China Trip Summer 2017

We will be having a general meeting this Thursday 5/18 from 6:00-7:00 pm, in Room 164. This is a meeting to discuss visas, departure information, appropriate clothing and other general topics of interest to the group. Since we are all new to the visa process, it will be a chance for those who have had experience to share out to the group. Please plan to bring the student traveler. Entrance to the building will be via the back doors near the cafeteria.

EARTH DAY...Fun Field Day...Volunteers

Every year, millions of people honor Earth Day around the world. According to Earth Day International, nearly 200 countries celebrate Earth Day, with individuals and organizations taking environmental action.

CMIT Academy would like to celebrate Earth Day on Friday, May 26, 2017. It will be a day to reflect on our planet, our environment and what we can do to help keep them healthy.

Students will be watching Hidden Figures which is an incredible untold story of three (3) brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big. http://www.foxmovies.com/movies/hidden-figures.

We will also have a speaker from the Department of Energy to speak about current events though simultaneous broadcasting to our classrooms.

And since it is the perfect signal that the end of the school year is near, we will be celebrating with fun field day. There will be an obstacle course, inflatable slides, athletics, games, talent shows and many more which are all academically aligned to science, mathematics, engineering, arts, social studies and language.

We encourage parents to volunteer and assist our students who look forward to an exciting and well-deserved break from the classroom.

Please click the link below to register as volunteer. We thank you for your support to keep CMIT Academy North growing with pride and prestige.
