CMIT South Elementary thanks our community for your compliance with our uniform requirements to ensure that all students are pressed, dressed and ready for success for the 18/19 school year!
All grades K-5 must follow the official CMIT South ES uniform policy as follows:
Required Tops
All students must wear tops with an embroidered CMIT South Logo fulfilled by our uniform supplier, Risse Brothers.
Students and families of all grades are free to choose between navy or hunter green polo shirt with embroidered CMIT South ES logo.
A white oxford shirt with embroidered logo and tie are required for all dress up days (this includes Honor Roll assembly days and field trips)
Students are allowed to wear their white oxford on any non-dress up day as an alternative to the embroidered polo.
CMIT South ES advises the purchase one white oxford shirt and one logo t-shirt (PE days) for all grades.
OPTIONAL TOPS:
Physical Education tee shirt: The logo t-shirt is an optional purchase for lower grades K-2, required for 3rd-5th grades. If you do not wear the tee shirt with black/blue sweatpants or shorts for physical education, you will need to dress in your full required uniform.
On physical education days (1 day per week), your student will not change clothes and is instructed to wear their preferred gym shirt (polo or t-shirt) for the entire day.
Sweater/ Fleece: purchasing an embroidered fleece or sweater is advised, but not required. However, students will not be permitted to wear non-embroidered sweaters or fleeces inside the school or classrooms arrive the arrival and dismissal times.
CMIT South ES requires that all embroidered uniform orders be fulfilled by our contracted uniform supplier Risse Brothers.

While CMIT South ES requires that all embroidered tops be ordered from Risse Brothers, we do encourage families to utilize any vendor of their choice for uniform bottoms.
Bottoms:
CMIT South ES students wear khaki or navy blue bottoms.
All students can elect to wear khaki or navy blue shorts, skorts or skirts depending on family/student preference.
Students are also able to wear black or blue shorts/sweatpants on physical education days.
Accessories:
Shoes: CMIT South ES students wear ALL BLACK SHOES. (see information session PowerPoint for pictures) No flip-flops, sandals, or open-toed shoes as they are a safety hazard.
Socks: CMIT South ES students wear white or black socks.
Hair: CMIT South ES students are permitted to wear hair decorations including beads and barrettes, as long as the overall aesthetic is not excessive or distracting.
