Happy May! Can you believe how quickly June is approaching?!
RELA: In reading we will be moving onto Unit 5 Week 5 where we are discussing why rules are important! Students will read a variety of expository texts that will highlight the ways in which rules came to be and why they are important to our society.
Social Studies: We are moving into chapter two where students will learn about wants and needs.
Science: Students are reviewing matter and working toward, or in, our unit on environments and living things.
Math: We are wrapping up our unit on geometry and moving into our unit on data and graphing. Students will learn about line plots, bar graphs, and picture graphs!
TESTING UPDATES:
During the week of May 23rd, students will begin MAP Reading Fluency testing. You can support our efforts by ensuring that students are well-rested and ready to learn each day!
The week of May 31st, second grade students will take the end of year iReady test.
Updates and Reminders:
1. Honor Roll Assembly and Pep Rally- Friday, May 27th. This event will be 12:45-2:00 via Zoom.

3. As temperatures are changing, please ensure your student is dressed appropriately for the weather! Reusable water bottles are a MUST. We have refill stations in our building!
4. Please check with your child to ensure he/she has the necessary supplies to finish out the school year! Many students are in need of pencils, glue, scissors, etc.
