Oh! The Joys of Always Learning
Parents/Guardians, We are winding down, and so are our students. Unfortunately, a few of our scholars often choose to wind down without considering the consequences of wrong choices. With that said, please support and encourage students to stay positive and remind them of school rules and expectations you have set for them to follow away from home. Learning takes place until the last day of school. Now is the time for students to begin reflecting on learning, setting new goals, and asking for help. Reading is never on holiday. Remind our scholars to read daily for at least 20 minutes. Begin to check out the libraries and sign up students for membership. It is a healthy practice. I know resources are available with a click from a personal computer, but the benefits of utilizing local libraries will inspire and motivate students, even more, to focus on learning outside of school. Thank you for partnering with CMIT @ South Admin

3rd Grade Updates!
Hi everyone! We have FINISHED the mathematics MCAP assessment this week and we are now half way through testing! Next week, we will continue testing on Tuesday, May 17 with the reading MCAP. The test will run Tuesday-Friday each day in the mornings, so it's important students are on time everyday and come to school with a charged chromebook! Students should also get plenty of sleep the nights before the tests. If students have headphones, they should bring them next week for the reading test! Students should continue practicing their Quizlet vocabulary words as well as the practice tests online to help prepare for the test. We hope students don't stress, try their best, and take their time on the tests this week. Let's make sure we continue to check Canvas daily so we can keep up with all of our work for the fourth quarter! Please use our Google Site as it has many helpful resources for you all! There is a weekly assignment breakdown that can help parents keep up with students' assignments, a grade level newsletter, and many other important resources. Here's the link to our google site: https://sites.google.com/pgcps.org/3rdgradeclasssite From your 3rd Grade Team! :)
