P.E. Weekly Review - EXTRA CREDIT FOR ALL GRADES
|
Dear Parents and Students,
This week we did some fun exercises to close out the year and next week I will be offering a movie day to all classes and students who showed excellent attendance as that was part of my school goal to help bring up attendance. Students who show up the live session next week that missed 10% or more of live sessions will be given asynchronous work and put in a break out room which I will be monitoring. Regardless, if you DO NOT show up, it will be still be marked down as an absentee grade and the grade will be docked as such.
************* The extra credit assignments have been posted for all grades as of now. They are due no later than Monday, June 14. This is OPTIONAL and NOT mandatory.
Grades K-1 - Get Active - Students must use flip grid ( the link is in the assignment at the top of "classwork" in each google classroom). Students must perform 5 different exercises, while skip counting by 10's to get to 100 for each separate exercise. Once your video is submitted to flip grid, you do NOT need to turn it in on google classroom. I will not grade them there as the video submission go to the flipgrid website.
Grades 2-5 - Compare sports - Students are to do some basic research on two sports. One offered here in the United states at most schools, and one that is NOT offered ( or a foreign sport ) to our schools. For example, Cricket and Baseball, or American Football and Rugby, Bocce ball and Bowling, etc. Please use my google slides presentation found in each google classroom assignment in "classwork." I made a copy for each student so they can edit MY slides. I had an issue with people making their own presentations during our last project. The grading rubric is the second slide in the presentation so please reference that on how to get full credit. I do not allow "google answers" or Wikipedia as research sources as they are ever changing and editable. Students may definitely use Google to find a website to use, but not for quick drop-down answers.

2nd Grade Updates!
|
Hello everyone, from the 2nd grade team! We are SO CLOSE to the end of the school year!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
Students are continuing to learn a lot in each subject in our final quarter! In Reading, students are reading about different cultures, traditions, and holidays around the world, new vocabulary words, irregular verbs, and r-controlled vowels! In Social Studies, students are also learning about different cultures and languages in different parts of the world as well as folk tales and tall tales! In Math, students are continuing learning about two-step word problems, and in science, students are continuing learning about habitats!
We are finishing up MAP testing make-ups this week, so make sure students are present and on time for school! As we wrap up the last 2 weeks of this school year, make sure students do not have missing assignments as the end of the fourth quarter is approaching! We are so close to summer break, so let's finish strong and keep working hard to achieve our goals! Have a great week!!
From your 2nd Grade Team! :)

Make Summer Reading GREAT this year!
|
Parents/Guardians,
Please use the following link to see library plans for the county. Nothing beats reading a good book this summer, and it is even more special if you read at the library. Students can borrow a large amount of books and read at their leisure.
Have a GREAT Summer and READ many books with our scholars.
