Emergency Contact Information
|
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Thank you to those who have already completed the Emergency Contact Information Form. If you haven't done so, please complete the form by clicking the link below:
https://forms.gle/ehzeoz4Jbyd8mjq58
This information is required for school staff to follow the correct procedures and make appropriate contacts in case of emergency. This includes the unscheduled closing of schools, illness of student, accident, or other situations in which someone other than the parent/guardian needs to assume temporary care of your child if you cannot be reached.
Thank you.

2nd Grade Updates!
|
Hello everyone, from the 2nd grade team! We are moving right along in our last quarter! We have just about 5 weeks left, we can do it!!
Thank you SO much to everyone who has generously given the 2nd grade teachers gifts this week for teacher appreciation week! We are so grateful to have such amazing parents and students! Also, thank you so much to our AMAZING PTO who did their best to make us all feel special this week in and out of the school building! We appreciate you!
Students are continuing to learn a lot in each subject in our final quarter! In Reading, students are finishing reading about different parts of the world, new vocabulary words, linking verbs, and r-controlled vowels! In Social Studies, students are finishing reading chapter 3 from our social studies books about different environments! We will be having our chapter test soon! In Math, students are continuing learning about numbers greater than 100, and in science, students are learning about what plants need to survive!
We will be taking our 3rd and final round of of the MAP assessments coming up. Monday, May 17 and Tuesday, May 18, we will be taking the MAP FLUENCY assessment during our RELA block! We will then have the MAP GROWTH tests the following week of May 24. We are in our last quarter of second grade, so let's keep working hard to achieve our goals! Have a great week!!
From your 2nd Grade Team! :)

Technology Class
|
Dear Parents,
I hope you are staying safe!
As you know, we started the 4th quarter. Please talk to your children and encourage them to attend the Technology Class in zoom live session for participation and to complete the assignment during class time.
Please check school max, see your child’s grade and missing assignments weekly.
If your child has missing assignments, please help your child to complete them.
Your child has extra time to complete the missing assignments by May 17.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me by class dojo messages.
Thank you,
Mrs. AK

The Cicadas are in Kindergarten
|
We are in the first week of May. In science the students learned about the Cicadas that are coming back to the area after 17 long years underground. They were excited, fascinated and grossed out all at the same time while learning about the insect. Ask you child what they learned about the cicada. I bet you'll be surprised what they tell you.
Students will participate in the MAP test in the coming weeks. All students need working headphones with a working mic. If your child does not have access to a pair, please let your teacher know ASAP. All Kindergarten classes will take the practice test next week. We are scheduled to take the real test the week of 5/17. Your teacher will give you the exact date for your class.
Each Kindergarten class is collecting then and now pictures of each student. Please be on the lookout for how and when to send those pictures to your child's teacher.
Remember there is no school on Thursday 5/13, all schools and offices will be closed.
We also want to thank our AMAZING PTO for the wonderful week, full of gifts and surprises, as we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for supporting all of us teachers as well as our students!
