What's Happening In Third Grade
Just a friendly reminder to check SchoolMax weekly for your scholar's current standings in all of their classes. Encourage your scholar to stay on top of their assignments and complete their work in a timely manner. It is very easy to fall behind and we want to ensure that all scholars are successful. As a reminder, scholars will have an opportunity to resubmit assignments to improve their grades. Weekly grades will be entered by Sunday at midnight. Parents will have until Wednesday to request a redo of an assignment. Resubmissions must be submitted by the following Sunday. If an assignment is not eligible for a redo, teachers will put "not eligible for redo" in the assignment description. Next week, scholars will be starting topic 14 Solve Time, Capacity, and Mass Problems. In Science, scholars will continue Topic 5 Life Cycle Traits. In Reading, scholars will continue to discuss characteristics of a biography. In Social Studies, we will begin Chapter 6 A Growing Nation. Please remind your scholar to log back into class at the designated time so that they are not missing out on instruction. Our time is limited with students and we would like to maximize our time with students. Please encourage your scholar to log in to Zoom on time for every class. We also want to share with families that Class Dojo is our main communication platform to share information with families quickly. Please check Class Dojo daily for any updates and new information shared. Have an awesome week... on purpose!!

I ask that you submit ONE clear photo of your scholar to be displayed and included within the slideshow of the fifth graders. 3. Our CMIT Staff Rock!
Greeting CMIT Tigers, Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7) is a time to celebrate the hard work & dedication of our wonderful teachers and school staff. Our teachers and staff members have worked hard all year to educate and prepare students for the future (even more so during a pandemic). While the fruits of their labor will be realized when their scholars go on to do great things, it's also always nice to let them know how much we appreciate their hard work. Below are links to 2 spreadsheets with ways that we can show our wonderful Teachers and Admin team how much we appreciation them. If your scholar is in person learning and would like to bring a gift (Food isn't allowed unfortunately) they are welcome to do so! There is one link listing a few of their favorite things. Another link has their payment apps if you wanted to send a little something to treat them to lunch.
