Gmail accounts will be issued soon. As we continue to be a forward-thinking school with technology and prepare our students for future endeavors, we are now going to utilize the gmail accounts to create lessons. If your child does not have an account they will not be able to complete the assignments. This will negatively impact your scholar as they will not be able to participate in the activities and lessons that will be assigned. Please take the time to complete the form attached below to ensure your scholar is able to keep up with the direction the school is moving. We are preparing to discuss internet expectations and responsibilities and do not want your child to be left out of the conversation.

Lego
K-2nd grade students practiced talking about feeling and emotions ( angry) and they built their own lego model.
3rd -5th grade students understood that drawing model is an important job of scientists, and practiced drawing models of the robot they build. Tigers did excellent class work this week.
Physical Education
Kindergarten-second grade students are going to be working on overhand throwing skills, ask them to show you, tell you how to do it, have them explain to you why we want to step with our opposite foot, or how they know what hand to throw with.
Third-fifth grade students are to continue to use both underhand and overhand, while deciding during skill activities which throw would be more beneficial and why. Also parents, the homework will be posted this week, but the code will only work with the scholars when they are signed in via their CMIT email address. If they do not have a CMIT email, they will not be able to complete any homework and this is 10% of their grade each quarter. So no homework means the highest grade they can reach is a 90%.
Technology
We have been practicing keyboarding in Technology classes.

Music
Every class has been working so hard on their preparations for the winter music assembly. The assembly will take place in the morning on Friday December 13th. We have a total of twelve songs and more than 20 spoken lines that are almost ready to perform! These songs and spoken words honor holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, and other fun things about winter like snow, family time, and more.
While we do not have room in our performance space for all of our parents in addition to all CMIT students, I am planning on having the concert live streamed so you can watch your student(s) sing from home or work! They've been working so hard, and some of these songs are too cute not to share.
Keep your eyes peeled for the page/link for live streaming, and ask your student about their song! I love to hear that so many students are practicing at home.
Media
We are finishing up the book fair and will resume our media education lessons this week, thank you all who came in to help ensure that everything ran smoothly.
