Parent Workshop
What an amazing turn out we had at our Parent Workshop! Parents were provided with information about the Common Core Standards, testing expectations for all grade levels and helpful strategies to implement with helping our young scholars manage testing anxiety. This workshop was very engaging and provided a lot of clarity to our dedicated parents and guardians. Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you at the final workshop of the school year.

Kindergarten Newsletter January 28th- February 1st
The Kindergarten Team would like to start this newsletter by sending out a big THANK YOU to all the grandparents that came to spend time with our students. We appreciate their willingness to come in and spend time with not only their grandchildren, but others as well. This week we finished our unit for addition in math and the ELA lesson on Jack and the Beanstalk. In math we continued to work on using number lines to solve addition problems, how to solve word problems and double digit addition. In ELA , we continued working on sight words he and for. We also continued learning about realism and fiction and working with the letter Ii. Please note that we have started our midyear assessments. We ask that during the next few weeks you make sure your scholar gets plenty of rest and eats breakfast, as this will help ensure their best work. Please also try and have limited absences at this time to ensure that your scholar is not only here for the assessments, but for reviews that may occur. Have a great week, The Kindergarten Team
