CMIT Elementary Teacher/Staff Breakfast Donation
CMIT Elementary Teachers and Staff would like to extend our sincere THANKS to all of the parents who have donated for the month of October. We are so appreciative and humbled by your endless generosity. To those who would like to participate, there are slots available for the Fridays in November. Below is the original message along with the SignUpGenious link: CMIT Elementary is requesting any assistance you can provide to help with a little pick-me up for the teachers/staff. By the week's end things have been hectic and our teachers/staff need a "Hurray you made it through another week!" At times, it can be difficult to run out to grab a bite to eat once the day gets started. Although there is a list of suggested items, anything you feel compelled to bless us with would be greatly appreciated. If you are able, please use the sign-up below to donate a breakfast item(s) as a jump start to our weekend. The teachers/staff would be most appreciative. Grateful!
Thanksgiving is without a doubt my most favorite holiday of the year, for many reasons. The family traditions mine still holds to, the "excuse for gluttony", the colors, the smells... but really, above all, because of the simplicity of it at its core: be grateful. Too often to we lose sight throughout the hullabaloo of every day life to pause, be mindful, and be grateful. Here is a blog with some neat ideas for daily activities to foster moments of gratitude through service to others. The sky is the limit, and there are no bounds to the creativity that can unfold here. I am taking the challenge for daily, purposeful action, and I hope you will join me! https://smsteevesblog.com/2017/10/30/23-days-of-gratitude-challenge-the-secret-to-having-it-all-is-knowing-you-already-do/

Technology Class News (Learning.com)
Hello! We’re excited to report that your student is using digital content from Learning.com as part of core subject area instruction. All of Learning.com’s content is delivered online through a secure login, so your student can access assignments from home. Children are often eager to show off their new computer skills, so be sure to talk to your child about the new skills they are learning and how they are applying those skills in the classroom. I sent with students their Login Cards to home this week. Please check your child's username and password. Instructions are provided in the Parent Letter. https://www.learning.com/about/why-learning
