Dear 2nd Grade Parents,
As we end the school year, we'd like to thank all of you for your support in helping our scholars achieve and grow in second grade! We had so much fun learning and participating in academically stimulating activities, as well as field trips, class celebrations, class projects and everything else we did!
Please remember to keep up the good work over the summer vacation: read, write, think, do math, explore, and help fuel your child's inquiry and growth. Resources are available on the second grade level website.
There will not be a fourth quarter honor roll assembly, however Classdojo celebrations have been awarded to all scholars for excellent fourth quarter behavior.
Have a wonderful summer!

I NEED You, one more time! (this year...)
|
Hellloooooo Tiger's Den!
Well here we are, another year coming to a close, can you believe it?! I hardly can...
In October, I reached out to you all with questions regarding your feelings about CMIT-ES and our School Counseling program. I received a WHOPPING 117 responses to my Needs Assessment Survey! And because of that, I was able to streamline particular efforts and energies this year based on YOUR insight and feelings surrounding our scholars...talk about some important power!
I am asking for your help, one more time this year...
PLEASE help me to reflect on the School Counseling program from our shared 2017-2018 school year, as well as to proactively plan for next year! By filling out this survey ( https://goo.gl/forms/ywKvR0kcnzeQtVhp1) you not only play a HUGE ROLE in the experiences of your scholars next year, but also in the data collection for CMIT-ES as a Charter School, but also as a school in PGCPS... whoa, I told you there was a lot of power in your feedback!
This survey truly helps direct and shape our program in the continuously changing and growing needs and experiences of our Tigers...
Remember our Character Days where we interfaced world-wide with other schools and their efforts? Or our kindness efforts in "Walking Up, Not Out"...
Or how about our Coffee Collaborations and Parent Workshops, paired with our Courageous Chats, parents?
Maybe you prefer remembering the Character Education conversations and the College Knowledge words your scholars presented to you at the dinner table, or the S.M.A.R.T. goals your scholars planned out and data tracked for their college and career bound future?
All of these efforts and more come directly from your feedback. Can you find the 4-6 minutes it takes to help Me continue to help our Tigers?
Who doesn't love a good competition...with ourselves! Lets see if we can beat the 117 responses in the fall, with even more right now!
Ready....Set.....SURVEY! ( https://goo.gl/forms/ywKvR0kcnzeQtVhp1)
Graciously, Your School Counselor
