2nd grade updates
Dear 2nd Grade Parents, This week, we had fun finishing up our learning units and ending the week with Field Day! Thank you to all parent volunteers who helped make it a success! Next week, second graders will be participating in and attending two assemblies: Celebrate Diversity on Monday, June 11th, and a Talent Show on Wednesday, June 12th. These are for students only, and during the AM. We will also be finishing up our curriculum units, and will be sending home student items as we clean up desks at the end of the week (i.e. workbooks, folders, etc.). For students who want to attend siblings' promotion ceremonies, tickets must be shown to homeroom teachers in order to be excused and attend those celebrations. Please send in yearbook money ($25) if interested in purchasing. We will stop collections next week! Also, School Supply Kits orders are due by June 22nd (and 10% proceeds go to our school!) Please do visit the Grade 2 website (via the school website) for summer announcements and resources.

The End is Near!
We would like to thank all of our parents and scholars for the compliance of uniform requirements. Random uniform checks have been made and we are so proud of the respect that they have shown for our school uniform! Going forward, we would also like for you to remind your scholars to follow classroom rules and expectations. Please remind your scholar to ROAR until the very last day!!! Monday June 11- Cultural Diversity Assembly Students will be expected to dress in attire that represents a culture outside of the United States. Students have learned about diversity in their classrooms, and classes will showcase their attire in a mock fashion show while at the assembly. Students must be in uniform if not dressing in cultural attire; these students will wave flags from around the World to join in the fun. Wearing cultural dress is an optional activity, but we do hope that all students will participate. Thank you for helping to make this learning opportunity possible! If your scholar has a sibling that will be graduating from Kindergarten or Fifth Grade, they MUST have a ticket in order to attend. We would like to thank you once again for a successful school year, it would not have been possible without your support. "It takes a village to raise a child."
