Spring has Sprung!
|
Oh the joys of reading your favorite book in the spring. Parents, please take all opportunity to read with scholars. Visit the library and get involved in doing short research on their favorite topics, such as a favorite game, a favorite dish, etc..
Begin to write with your scholars. Create short poems about spring and have them bring these to share in class.
Keep the interest of reading daily alive in their minds and in everything they will do now and the years ahead.
Plan for reading! Let it become a fun activity too.

Celebrating Women
|
Our scholars did such a wonderful job on their Women of STEM Projects and we enjoyed their presentations. On Thursday, March 29, we will be viewing the film, "Hidden Figures", as a culminating activity. Scholars are allowed to bring popcorn and a drink. In the next few weeks, students will continue reviewing and preparing for PARCC testing which will begin the week of April 16. Due to the snow days, Spring Break will now end on Tuesday, April 3. The school will be doing a Butterfly Project and we are in need of volunteers on April 25. Please contact your scholar's homeroom teacher if you are interested. Thank you for your continued support!
