January Staff of the Month
|
It is with great pleasure to share that for the month January we have two recipients of Staff of the Month. First, we want to congratulate Mrs. Addie Broadnax for her hard work with assisting teachers with students during the day. She encourages our students to do their best everyday and she provides quick reminders to our scholars to get them back on track. She has assisted the program coordinators with planning events to ensure that our scholars have a fun, safe, and rewarding environment. Way to go Mrs. Addie Broadnax! Next, we want to congratulate Nurse Ann for providing excellent care to our scholars when they are ill or injured. We share her with our sister school, but she still make sure your scholars received the proper attention that is needed for their situation. The CMIT family thank you so much and really appreciate the work you have done for us this year.

Markus Appel, PhD student Caroline Marker (JMU) and Timo Gnambs from the University of Bamberg have taken a closer look at how the social media use of adolescents correlates with their school grades. "There are several contradictory single studies on this subject and this has made it difficult previously to properly assess all results," Marker says. Some studies report negative impacts of Snapchat & Co., others describe a positive influence and again others do not find any relationship at all.
