The 2nd grade is proud to announce that we are going to publish a class book!
Each 2nd grade class is working on selecting a theme and creating drafts. We will work hard through the writing and illustrating process to accomplish our goal for meaningful literacy. Books will be available for sale upon publication (information flyers will go home after Spring break).

We are also planning a field trip to the Walter's Art Museum in Baltimore on May 31st to culminate this experience with a Telling Stories theme taught by the museum staff, who will visit us at school on May 28th prior to our trip to the art museum. If interested in chaperoning, please contact your child's homeroom teacher and make sure you have fingerprinting arrangements completed with the school. The fee is not known yet.

This week, students will have a Timeline project to complete. They will create a timeline of their life, and the format is optional: poster or use technology to get creative. Please do not post original photographs (only scanned copies) as projects will be posted in the hallway bulletin boards.
