WEEK # 3
Hi Tiger Readers, Happy Friday. Checking in with our fabulous Tiger parents.
How much did you read this past week? How are our scholars responding to the time you spend reading with them? Here are a few question stems to use as you generate questions.
What evidence do you have....? What page can you find.....? What conclusions can you.....? How does this make you.......?
So appreciate all you do to encourage and support READING with our tigers at home. Plan ahead-what will you read next week

Homework Matters!
|
Parents, We need your help! We are in a partnership with you and your scholar in an effort to promote academic success. It is imperative that you ensure your scholar completes homework. Scholars are asked to complete homework each day, as it is practice of the skills that we are learning in class. When they don't practice, they are not prepared for weekly assessments which could adversely effect their grades. Homework is also graded, so scholars who don't turn in their packets or projects on the due date, could see their grades adversely effected. In Math/Science, Ms. Tolbert and Mrs. McCain ask that parents initial the monthly calendar and complete the assignments on the date that they are due. In Language Arts/Social Studies, Ms. Daniel and Ms. Nick ask that parents initial the reading log each evening. We would like to thank you for your continuous support!

Thank You!

Hello Tigers' Den! First, a HUGE SHOUT OUT of Thanks for all of our wonderful parents that have already been able to spare a few minutes of their time to share ideas and feelings with us about how we can make this year our Best Year Yet, for CMIT! The link is still live, and will be open for a little bit longer, so if you haven't had the opportunity to fill it out, please know you are still invited to do so: https://goo.gl/forms/itKWP3jnyd59xNVk2The information you share remains totally anonymous, and it is invaluable in how it helps to shape our efforts with our Tigers. I will compile a master-report of the results and share it with you all, including action steps to address specific areas this year. Next, I wanted to share with you our Character Day was incredible! We were able to be a part of something so much bigger than us... it was global, in fact! We all paused throughout the day and participated along with 133,000 other schools and business to dialogue about positive character development. It was inspiring to witness our scholar delve into the importance of character and personal growth in character traits, and how their character mindset directly impacts their future. Wow! We will continue such conversations and efforts throughout our entire school year, with different opportunities to support these thoughts and reinforce their growth. Finally, I wanted to share with you all a fabulous resource! http://www.sanityschool.comhttp://www.impactadhd.comI hope you all have a Fabulous Weekend! Soak in this "summer" weather as long as we still have it :)
